Stiefelmayer-Messtechnik is a leading producer of horizontal arm measuring machines. Our systems are designed for layout tasks, manual measuring as well as complex CNC measuring procedures.
We see ourselves as providers for tailor-made solutions. We therefore offer a large range of machine systems and equipment options. This includes well-designed software systems, field-proven equipment and sensor technology as well as an experienced and reliable service.
The first 3D coordinate horizontal arm CMM was introduced by Stiefelmayer already in the early 70s. Today, more than 8000 measuring and layout machines are installed worldwide: In design studios, prototype construction, pre-series production or for the measuring of large individual components.
Actura - Cost Effective and Highly Flexible
Our system ACTURA is an attractive solution for manual measuring and marking-out tasks: This includes the measurement of large single parts, the marking of workpieces and clay design models as well as the dimensional inspection of devices and parts.
The ACTURA machines feature guide rules which are screwed onto a slot in the measuring plate. Alternatively, the ACTURA CMM can also be delivered with movable guides. In that case the machine can be moved around the work piece. For the lifting and putting down of the machine we offer a comfortable manual lift truck.
The ACTURA is equipped with the iPad Application EASY Line. EASY Line allows the wireless visualisation of measuring results in a easy-to-read 3 axis display, close to the operator and the work-piece. Furthermore, measuring parameters and the setup of the machine can be easily stored in the integrated project management. EASY Line can be connected to the most common inspection software packages.
Futura - Manual, Motorised or CNC
The measuring machine FUTURA is featured by the X-axis guiding system which is screwed to the side of the measuring plate. Available in many variations, Futura machines are real "all-rounders" for any metrology tasks.
Futura measuring machines are available in manual, motorised or CNC version, with disengage-able drives for combined manual / CNC operation, as one-column or duplex solution.A
Ventura - Our Flagship CMM's
With the measuring machines family Ventura and Ventura CNC you get to know the flagships of our measuring machine program.
Robust, high-precision horizontal-arm measuring machines, insensitive to dirt, with a X-axis guide way which is integrated in the measuring plate.
Ventura measuring machines are available in manual, motorised, or CNC controlled versions, as a single column or multi-column machines.
As a standard we equip our machines with a very robust and dirt resistant magnetic measuring system. Renishaw incident light measuring systems are available on request.
Ventura Design - Marking, Measuring, Milling
Beside inventiveness , imagination, experience and craftsmanship, the modelling and design process also requires an efficient technical equipment, to implement objectives quickly and to make ideas come true.
Thus, with Ventura Design we completment our well-proven manual measuring and lay-out technology by a CNC milling option in a single machine.
The Ventura Design features an exchangeable measuring head which is attached to the traversing arm and enables the quick change between measuring and milling operation.
If you do not want to make the decision for a combination machine with milling head yet, but want to keep the option open for the future, no problem.
~In line with our concept of modular retrofitting we will equip you with a basic machine which you can have retrofitted as combination milling machine directly at your site any time.
Milling Retrofit - Increase Performance and value
you have a proven measuring machine in your studio and would like to enhance its range of functions? We offer retrofits on existing CMM's (Stiefelmayer/Zeiss and selected other brands) for expansion to clay milling functionality.
This includes:
- retrofit of controller and software
- complete over haul of all drivers
- new cabling of the entire machine
- additional mechanical stabilization of the CMM
The result are machines as good as new, with enhanced functions and a technology upgrade to get the fit for the future.
